The Wren is one of those easy little blouses that does all the work for you. Soft, relaxed and beautifully feminine, with a gently gathered neckline, statement ruffle and puffed sleeves and a slightly trapeze shape through the body.
The neckline is softly elasticated for stretch, ease and comfort, with matching elasticated cuffs that give the sleeves their shape without feeling restrictive. The tie at the neck is fixed rather than functional. We trialled a true drawcord, but found this worked much better in real life, keeping the neckline sitting just as it should without the need for constant adjusting.
Cut in limited-edition deadstock cottons, each Wren is handmade in small batches here in Scotland. Once a fabric is gone, it really is gone. We use up what we have and move on to the next beautiful find.

All three checks are woven into the cloth rather than printed onto the surface, giving them a lovely depth and texture.
A note on our fabrics
We work with deadstock wherever we can, sourcing beautiful fabrics that already exist rather than commissioning new cloth unnecessarily. It also means quantities can be very limited. With Wren, once we have used each roll, there is no more. No repeat production, no hidden stockpile. When it goes, it goes.
