THE VICTORIA LINEN LACE BLOUSE

A little Victoriana, without feeling too prim.

Victoria is a romantic linen blouse made from beautiful, substantial deadstock linen and cotton lace. With softly blousoned sleeves, intricate lace panels and a loose, draped neckline, it has all the detail of a traditional Victoriana blouse but with a much more relaxed feel.

Three lace panels run through the front. The centre panel is cleverly backed with linen, giving you coverage where you want it, while the two outer lace inserts are left delicately sheer, allowing just a little skin to show through.

At the back, a row of buttons finishes the blouse. They may look intricate, but they’re surprisingly easy to fasten. Rather than the high, close-fitting neckline traditionally associated with Victorian blouses, we’ve deliberately kept Victoria loose around the neck so that it falls softly, almost like a cowl.

The body is generous and slightly longer in length, with plenty of room to drape. Wear it loose over trousers or denim, tuck it in, or let the lace and neckline peek out from underneath knitwear as the weather cools.

The linen itself is a lovely substantial weight rather than a fine, transparent summer linen. Naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, it works beautifully through warmer weather but has enough weight to layer and wear throughout autumn and winter too.

Victoria is made to order from limited deadstock linen, so we only make what is actually wanted and quantities are naturally restricted by the fabric available.

FIT & SIZING

Victoria comes in one size and is designed with a loose, relaxed silhouette and plenty of room through the body.

We would suggest it for approximately UK sizes 8–18, depending on how you like your clothes to fit. On smaller sizes it will have a more oversized, draped feel, becoming naturally less oversized towards the upper end of the size range.
