The Mara cardigan is a softly structured lambswool knit designed as an easy everyday layer.
Knitted from the same specially dyed slubby lambswool yarn as the Isla vest, it has a beautifully textured surface with natural variation throughout the knit. The silhouette is relaxed but considered, with gentle volume through the sleeves and a softly shaped crew neck collar that frames the neckline.
Finished with ribbed cuffs and hem and a classic button front, Mara works equally well worn open over dresses and shirts or buttoned up as a knit in its own right.
Fastened with undyed UK-made corozo buttons and sewn with cotton thread, allowing the entire garment to remain biodegradable and return naturally to the earth at the end of its long life.
Designed to feel cosy without heaviness, it’s the kind of piece that becomes part of everyday dressing across seasons.
Made to order in Scotland
Each Mara cardigan is knitted specially for you on the west coast of Scotland using our limited-run lambswool yarn.
In keeping with our zero-waste philosophy, we produce only what is ordered rather than creating excess stock.
Please allow 4–6 weeks for your cardigan to be knitted and finished.
Styling notes
The Mara cardigan is designed to layer easily over dresses, shirts or simple tees.
The relaxed body and softly dropped shoulder create a comfortable silhouette while keeping the proportions balanced when worn with denim, skirts or tailored trousers.
It can also be worn buttoned up as a knit on its own.

Why it matters
Our knitwear is produced in small batches using traditional Scottish manufacturing.
By making each piece to order, we avoid producing excess stock and ensure that every garment has a purpose from the moment it is made.
The result is knitwear designed to be worn for years rather than seasons.
