Our Story
Nicci de Vries, founder of Second Stories, brings over 18 years of experience in the British fashion industry. Founded in 2019, Second Stories began as a side project during Nicci’s buying career and was initially built around curated collections of vintage and pre-loved pieces.
What started as a vintage site has evolved into something bigger, Autumn/Winter 2024 will see Second Stories launch its first full in-house collection. The collection blends timeless versatile staples made in the UK, with vintage pieces and artisan collaborations from Ukraine and India. The result is an offering that feels unique and considered. The seamless integration of new designs with vintage items creates a cohesive wardrobe that speaks to a growing community of consumers who care about their impact on the planet and reflects the way we are increasingly choosing to shop and dress.
Second Stories is firmly committed to sustainability and zero waste. Many of the garments are crafted using dead-stock fabrics or repurposed vintage materials, ensuring that every piece not only has its own unique story but also contributes to reducing fashion waste.
The brand’s philosophy revolves around creating pieces that last—clothing designed with longevity and versatility in mind, so they can continue to tell a "second story"
Second Stories is more than a fashion brand; it’s a movement towards a lower-impact, higher-value way of dressing. The brand aims to prove that fashion can be both beautiful and responsible.
Second Stories has been featured in Elle's Best Online Vintage Stores, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, WHO WHAT WEAR, and Sheer Luxe.
