Ondine is a beautiful vintage house dress. The main body of the dress is a gorgeous soft mint green and white stripe seersucker, complimented by pastel pink yellow, and lilac striped panels at hem, yoke and sleeves.
This dress has skirt pockets and typical zip front with a small toggle in the fastening. This dress is made from a lightweight seersucker fabric perfect for keeping you cool in hot summer days. Unlike the other dresses in this drop this is actually from the brand National which was established in 1952 and is known for its House dresses.
Styled here with the ‘Peachy’ vintage sunglasses from Peep eyewear which are also available to buy as part of this collection.
House dresses are designed to be loose and comfortable and cater for a range of sizes. This dress is labelled ‘L’ and would work well for current UK size range 6 to 16 comfortably. Cotton blend fabric
Measurements: Armpit to Armpit 22 inches / Sleeve length 14 inches from shoulder head / Length 51 inches
NB. I am 5’8” for height reference and also took these photos when 30 weeks pregnant! These dresses look great with or without a bump!
Very good vintage condition, this item has been restitched at the hem as it was partially undone.
As with all of us there may be subtle signs of a past lifes and loves on any vintage garment as it is not ‘box fresh’ but at Second Stories we think this just adds to their beauty and story. Rest assured that any noticeable issues and flaws will be always be highlighted up front in the listing, which is more than can be said for your ex!
